Alex Syberia Designs - Modern Weave Layering Stencils

 Hi all  So before Christmas I pledged towards the Alex Syberia Designs full release bundle and I was so pleased when they had reached their target as this meant their first physical product went straight into production and I received the bundle just before Christmas. I have now been able to spend some time today playing with the Modern Weave stenci l which is just amazing! So versatile and can be changed up with colour to create all kinds of backgrounds for all style of cards . In this colour example, I used Distress Oxide colours. I used pine needles, lucky clover and twisted citron. The stencils are so easy to line up and they are numbered so it takes the guess work out of knowing which one to use first. The stencils are really sturdy so you won't have any problems with them bending out of shape. Polkadoodles - New Year - colour palette

Hope you all have a wonderful Christmas when it arrives. The design team were asked to create a project with the theme New Year using a particular colour palette. Today I have made a card for New Year. I firstly created an ink blended background using my distress oxides in the colours of seedless preserves, faded jeans and Peacock feathers. I then created a card mat using the Circle star numbers from the Zodiac collection , I used numbers 20 and 23, I then added the sentiment 'Best Wishes for the New Year' which is from the  Winnie white Christmas .  To finish off the card I coloured the stars in a gold colour and added some glossy accents to the bigger stars. Polkadoodles - December Birthday - Boy card

Morning All,  It's choosday which means it is time to enter our 'Anything Goes Challenge' over at  Polkadoodles Digi Choosday .  Remember to check out the blog for full details and to grab your code to receive a very generous discount from the  Polkadoodles shop . this week the design team have been challenged to create a project for a December Birthday and for a boy.  For my project I have created a birthday card with a bit of a twist. I first created my background using Wild honey, pine needles and abandoned coral Distress Oxides.  I then used the tree from The Tweetest Christmas stamps   and stamped repeatedly on to the background using tone on tone inks.  For my digital image I used the Party Little Dude Digi and to finish off the card I did a mashup of sentiments which reads – ‘ Merry Birthday ’ both parts cropped from other sentiments using the Winnie white Christmas   and the Zodiac collection sentiments.
